Our family, consisting of my wife and five daughters, initiates the festive season with a visit to Conner Prairie. A Merry Prairie Holiday, boasting historical charm, takes us back in time as we engage with interactive exhibits and admire the recreated 19th-century village adorned in holiday splendor. The laughter of our daughters blends with the melodies of carolers, creating an evening filled with pure holiday joy.
A standout tradition at Conner Prairie is the Holiday joyful ride on Kringle’s Carousel. The lights and festive melodies bring pure excitement and joy and witnessing the huge smiles on our daughters’ faces as they immerse themselves in the holiday spirit reinforces the magic of the season.
After this heartwarming experience, our celebrations extend to Carmel’s Christkindlmarkt. Tucked in the heart of Carmel, the Christkindlmarkt offers a taste of European holiday traditions with its charming wooden stalls and the enticing aroma of spiced cider and roasted nuts. Our family explores the market hand in hand, reveling in the festive decor and indulging in delightful treats. At the core of Carmel’s Christkindlmarkt lies a special connection to our family’s heritage. Our family loves to get each year’s New Christkindlmarkt boot mug.
