Hamilton County takes the lead in both Central Indiana and the United States when it comes to the number of individuals who are either employed or actively seeking employment. Nevertheless, there is a discernible trend of decreasing labor force participation, not just within the county but also nationwide and within Central Indiana leading to a tight labor market.
