Kate Walters serves as the Director of Career Connections for the Hamilton County Economic Development Corporation (dba Invest Hamilton County). In this role, Kate works to connect businesses throughout Hamilton County with community programming and workforce development resources that aid in their pursuit of talent attraction, retention, and/or support.

Prior to joining Invest Hamilton County, Kate served as the Director of Partnerships and Youth Programs for the Indiana Construction Roundtable Foundation, a nonprofit aimed at construction workforce development. She has a record of relationship building, program development, and strategic planning to further the goals of the organization. Before joining the nonprofit sector, Kate spent 6 years working as a school counselor in the Indianapolis area.

Kate grew up in a small town in Illinois but moved to Indiana for college. She graduated from the University of Evansville with a BS is Psychology and received her MS in Counselor Education from Indiana University Indianapolis. She has also completed an HR Specialist Certificate through the Indiana Chamber. Kate and her husband live in Westfield, IN with their son and dog. In her free time, Kate enjoys time with family, going to local coffee shops, the neighborhood book club, and taking care of her plants.
