With Invest Hamilton County’s diverse array of community partners and initiatives, it is rare to have all of these partners gathered in one space at one time. This unique opportunity, coupled with the desire to develop a new strategic plan, inspired the creation of an Invest Hamilton County Partner Summit. The summit aimed to bring clarity to these connections, provide a platform to highlight this information, and collect feedback to utilize while envisioning the future.
On Sept. 6, 2024, Invest hosted its first Partner Summit, bringing together partners and community members for a comprehensive overview of ongoing projects across the county. “We’re grateful for all the amazing community leaders who dedicated a morning to help Invest Hamilton County staff and board build a vision for the future of this organization and our role in this outstanding community,” said Mike Thibideau, President & CEO of Invest Hamilton County.
Invest Hamilton County Board Secretary/Treasurer, Chuck Haberman, welcomed more than 120 attendees, while The Transform Consulting Group facilitated the event. The summit featured presentations from a diverse group of speakers, including Mike Thibideau, Tom Kilian and Anita Rogers with the Hamilton County Community Foundation, Jack Russell with the OneZone Chamber, Courtney Albright with the Westfield Chamber, Bob DuBois with the Noblesville Chamber, Sarah Buckner with Hamilton County Tourism, Diana Coyle with the Hamilton County Leadership Academy, Scott Rudd with Rudd Consulting, Alaina Shonkwiler with KSM, David Berman with MindWell Solutions, Zachary Rice with TPMA, Dawn Lang with Invest Hamilton County, Tim White with Janus Developmental Services, and Jill Doyle with Invest Hamilton County.
Topics covered included an overview of Invest Hamilton County, Hamilton County Community Foundation strategic planning, the role of the Chamber and programming, Inspire Hamilton County updates, Hamilton County Leadership Academy, broadband investment, the County-wide Mental Health Collaboration & Strategy, child care research results and future actions, K-12 initiatives through the InvestEd program, disability initiatives with InvestAbility and reentry initiatives through the InvestOnward program.
Participants had the opportunity to engage in live polls and provide feedback throughout the event. After the presentations, they took part in a dreaming and envisioning activity for Hamilton County. The feedback collected will help shape Invest Hamilton County’s strategic plan for 2025.
We extend our gratitude to everyone who joined us in envisioning a brighter future for Hamilton County!
